Additional evening and weekend GP appointments

16 February 2023

Ask your surgery for an Enhanced Access appointment

The GP practices of Ely Primary Care Networks are offering some additional appointments on weekday evenings and Saturdays, every week.

These are for planned appointments, ideally suited to routine and non-urgent appointments such as blood tests, blood pressure checks, dressing changes, ear irrigation, and cervical screening. We can also offer medication reviews, wellbeing coaching appointments and specialist review appointments for people who have long-term conditions.

These additional appointments are run from our local practices and can be telephone appointments of face to face, when required. Nurse appointments are available up to two weeks in advance. GP appointments are available for the same day.

Contact your surgery by phone or askmyGP and ask for an Enhanced Access evening or weekend appointment. As you might be booked to see a GP or nurse from a different practice than your usual surgery, you will be asked to give your consent when you book or arrive, so that the local GP or nurse can give you the best care, just like at your own doctors.

If you find you are unable to attend for your appointment, please let us know by phoning your usual GP practice by 5:45pm on the day of your appointment or if it is a Saturday appointment, by 5:45pm on the Friday before.
